The Rooted Kimono is a one-of-a-kind fully-reversible piece MADE BY MIKO in the OA Atelier using repurposed denim, vintage West African indigo fabric scraps & our signature Black Sun fabric - handwoven, hand Indigo-dyed & block-printed in Lagos, Nigeria.
Hand cut indigo scraps are carefully sewn & quilted to make a rich outer shell, joined with our handmade Black Sun fabric, and finished with a Kimono collar made from repurposed denim scraps.
Incorporating numerous types of handmade West African fabric & requiring many days of careful craftsmanship to construct, The Rooted Kimono is truly a work of art.

Fabric is Handwoven & Hand-dyed in West Africa using traditional looms. Our product promotes the appreciation of slow-textile process & supports the skillful artwork of weaving on traditional looms by artisan collectives.
